How do I connect to Orrery?
You can access Orrery either by connecting a crypto wallet or by logging in with a social account.
👉 Wallet connections are non-custodial and require you to approve access and sign a message to prove ownership of the address.
👉 Social login creates an application-level account and can be used to manage preferences and sessions, but it does not replace on-chain ownership, so you still connect wallets to interact with strategies. Orrery will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys, and any request for those should be treated as a scam.
Connect via a Wallet
To connect using a wallet, you select your wallet provider from the connection modal and approve the request in your wallet interface. Depending on the chain and wallet type, Orrery may use a direct extension connection or WalletConnect to establish the session. Most users connect using popular wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, Phantom, OKX Wallet, and hardware wallets like Ledger when supported through compatible connectors.
Once connected, Orrery may ask you to sign a message, which is not a blockchain transaction and does not move funds, but serves to confirm ownership of the address and create a secure session. After the signature is complete, you can view your portfolio and execute Earn strategies by signing on-chain transactions when required.
Connect via a Social Account
You can create and access a Orrery profile using providers such as email, Google, Apple, or other supported options. Social login helps manage sessions, settings, and additional security features like MFA. Even with social login, interacting with on-chain strategies still requires connecting a wallet, because protocol transactions must be signed by the wallet that owns the funds. Social login should be treated as a convenience layer for account management rather than a custody mechanism.
